Last day in Sweden

 Today was our last day in Sweden. We spent it in Vimmerby. Of cause you find Astrid Lindgren there, too.

Our best friend said goodbye to us and brought us to the post office, where our next journey started.

N�s - Astrid Lindgrens childhood home

Today we visited the childhood home of Astrid Lindgren.

There you can see an exhibition about her life and work.

Here you can see how she slipped on ice and broke her leg, so that she had the time to write down the stories about Pippi.

Here you can see Pippi dolls from all over the world.

In this house she was born.

And this is the old tree that was the inspiration for the lemonade tree in the Pippi books.

At Astrid Lindgrens world

 Today we visited a theme park where all of Astrid Lindgrens characters come to life!

 We watched a lot of theaters.

 Vimmerbys downtown is there en miniature.

 Here you can se how Pippi Longstocking bought 18 kg bonbons.

 Here you can see Madicken and her little sister on top of the roof.

 And here's Emil.

It was a great but exhausting day!
