Visit at the Zoo

Today we made a day trip to the zoo in Magdeburg 60 km far away from our hometown Stendal!

This is the general map of the zoo...

 This mini tortoises are hatched in August 2013.

This is the elephant enclosure! On the enclosure living tow elephants from India.

 The whole elephant enclosure looks a bit shabby.

 But the elephants have a lot of space

 

 On the 12th of February 2014 a new giraffe calf was born. But this is not the calf. This is the proud father and the older giraffesister...

 The giraffe calf was shielded of all the curious visitors in a seperate compound.

 Here is the giraffe calf! He has no name at the moment...

 

 In an other compound we saw a big lion!

 Here is the lion mother...

 and the young lions cub! They are from last year.

 At the next vivarium we meet a lot of African penguins! We love how they walk.

 Paul decided to feel like a real penguin,

 Look that is an creativ african insect hotel.

 In the ape house we meet a realy old lady! She is 29 years old!

 

 And look how sweet this monkey was!

 Yummy salad for lunch!

 This animal looks a bit like a wolpertinger!

 We realy love this Anodorhynchus! There are such beautiful birds

 

 The three tapirs were so relaxed

 That we get holiday feelings!

 

 That is realy an ugly toad!

 We also found some more aras

 This dholes were so activ! They feel the coming spring...

The last animal we saw was this tiny spiny mouse! We raly love her spiny pelt...

This day was so nice! We love to see all the animals! We whish you a nice weekend!

Our last day as a trainees

 

 Today we started with a big breakfast! We ate some bun with honey

 After that we chill out in a house plant. We had good visibility from here into the MDR office

Then we got the opportunity to go to a shooting date. We were allowed to help the cameraman.

 

At the end of the day our last task was to boil some coffee for the crew!

It was an exciting day!

Now we are trainees

Now we are trainees at the MDR broadcast studio in Magdeburg and help to cut our own three minutes film

Our first task was to make some telephone calls! It is not easy to speak propper and clear at the phone...

After that our host took us to the cutting room, where our 3 minutes film was adapted.

It is realy fascinating how it is working..

We were out for clubbing!

Together with our host Christiane from the mdr TV station we went to a bar in Magdeburg

Christiane ordered a cold Guinnes an Irish beer

 We palyed some games of dice with her.

 Christiane asks us if we want to tast the colde Guinnes and we said yes!

For snack we taste some "Knusperflocken" a tipical east German chocolate candy

 

Later on we watch the UEFA Champions League semifinal Borusia Dortmund against Real Madrid.

This eavening was so great! Thanks to Christiane and her frinds!

Our first day at the central studio of the German TV station "mdr"

Now we are in Magdeburg at the central studio of the German TV station "mdr" were our storry will be told at the 2nd of Mai 2013 at 7 p.m.

In the office of the TV station we helped to staple some importand documents...

and we helped Kathrin Ruther from theMDR radio station to check her e-mails.

Today we leave Germany again!

Now we leave Germany again. Our next journey goes to Poland!

Today our biggest fan in Germany brings us to the postoffice in Magdeburg!

A day in an institution of further education

Hey to every one! Today we are in the "Europ�ische Bildungwerk - EBG" in englisch it is called European training institute in Magdeburg.

 Johannes learns in this institute the profession of a remedial teacher.

 Here we say "Hallo!" to Kathi classmate of Johannes.

She is so hardworking!
