A walk through the old part of town

Today we have been through the old part of town has narrow streets full of very nice pub, shops, restaurants and bars which serve rich "pintxos"

 

 Here we are walking in the main streets of San Sebastian 

A sunny day at the port

 Nex day we walk to the port city.

Behind us is the Mount Igueldo on top is a small amusement park on the summit!

 

 and here we are with Mount Urgull in the background there is a sacred heart of jesus on the summit.

 

The day of all saints

We have to make a supplement today!

 

 At the 1st of November was the day of all saints. The streets were full of stalls selling flowers.

 The horror film festival has already begun in San Sebastian. Our host Kontxi has led us to the Teatro Principal where they project movies will be shown. The cinema is decorated for the occasion! Wooh scary!

 After we were at the cinema we walked along the boulevard. It is one of the main streets of the city

 We have also seen the magnificent bandstand. It is situated in the middle of downtown.

 and we met a very sympathetic friend. Muuuuu! And sat on his head!

A walk to the Buen Pastor Cathedral

Good morning today we want to go to the city. Here we are sitting on the balcony of our host and appreciate the view!

We visited Buen Pastor Cathedral! Its 75-metre high tower rises in the shape of a needle that can be seen from almost every part of the city.

 The Neo-Gothic cathedral was built by architect Manuel Echave and opened in 1897. It has a ground and symmetric plan in the shape of Latin cross and consists of three naves, transept and a presbytery.

The cathedral has numerous decorative elements such as stained glass windows gargoyles, pinnacles, and so on.

After visiting the cathedral we want to go to the post officeis.

 

 The post office is very close to the cathedral.

 The architectural of this building is also nice!

San Sebastian from above

It is perceived that autumn is here! Here we are with our friend Luka on the road to a viewpoint.

The viewpoint is behind us. We are a bit below it. The viewpoint is shaped like the bow of a boat.

 

The park we visit yesterday has a viewpoint where you can see a panoramic view of the city! It is really spectacular!

 The park below the viewpoint is a meeting place where families enjoy nature. Many of them are along with their pets and childrens

It was a nice afternoon! Our host promised that we will see the city more closely next days.

A walk at the afternoon

Our host Kontxi took us to visit the park Ametzagaina yesterday afternoon.

 A real green lung for the city of San Sebastian.

It Located between the districts of Intxaurrondo, Loyola and Martutene, and has an area of 39 acres for the enjoyment of the public.

 There are hills and beautiful landscapes where people could go walking

 The esplanade is a perfect place for dogs and the master of a dog. Dogs enjoy running and playing at the park.

 Kontxi and Luka have a very sympathetic puppy named Kiro. 

 He loves this esplanade!

We arrived in San Sebastian

Today we arrived in San Sebastian.

We brought some sweets with us to say thank you for the invitation. And we have now a new friend named Luka. He is so nice to us and he want to show us San Sebastian!
