Warsaw

We saw Warsaw the capital city of Poland this weekend. We went there by train with journalist from Branza Dziecieca.

There was no time to see a lot, but we saw one very famous monument.

It's Palace of Culture and Sience. Warsaw got it as a gift from the Soviet people. It was offered by Joseph Stalin and completed in 1955. It is the highest building in Poland (42 floors) and it has over 3,000 rooms, including offices, institution headquarters and the Polish Academy of Sciences. ThePalace has also a post office, cinema, swimming pool, museums, libraries and theaters.

The palace is one of the largest conference facilities in Warsaw. There is also The Congress Hall and Concert Hall which has host international artisits as Marlene Dietrich, Procol Harum, Bruce Springsteen, Cesaria Evora, The Rolling Stones, Woody Allen with his band and many others.

See you soon
your Hans and Paul

(FOTO) BANDUNG LAUTAN ONTHEL 2013

*membayangkan rasanya

We met some dwarves in the city

Dwarves are the smallest residents in main city of lower Silesia, but they still bigger than we are :)
We met them during our trip. They are very popular as tourist attraction. They are everywhere!
On the lamp, near the bank, on the sidewalk, wherever you look you can see small creatures in hats.
We met:
Busker and Music lover on Olawska Street, in front of a flower shop.
They both consider themselves talented in music, so they entertain the passer-by with some dwarf music.
Sisyphers
They assist in the renovations - they began rolling the nearest granite ball assigned to decorate Swidnicka Street.
W-SKERS, Blind and Death- Mute.
They are three ambassadors of the initiative Wroclaw without barriers, situated near the entrance to Museum of City Art.
We still waiting for spring here. Maybe tomorrow...Have a great weekend!

We went to the Market Square in Wroclaw

Hello to everyone,
yesterday on Thursday we went to Market Square, which is the social and cultural centre of Wroclaw.
This is the place of meetings, happenings, concerts and performance art, lined with terraced cafes, restaurants and pubs, with outdoor gardens in the summer. Unfortunately, there wasn't open any beer garden yet, because of the cold weather. The Market Square is surrounded by houses of historical importance and many of them reconstructed after the siege of Wroclaw in 1945.
We saw the Tawn Hall, which is the most outstanding monument in the Market. On the top of the tower is the city crest and the astronomic clock from 1580.
Near the entrance to the Tawn Hall is hall thumbnail, so small as you can see it on the picture.
Near the Market is standing big bear postument- the watering place in the summer. People rub his teeth for good luck, especially kids love to observe him. We also did it and stand there. It looks very scary!
In the end of our trip to the Market Square we stayed on modern glass fountain which in the summer time looks fantastic when the light mixes with the water.
We saw the picture!
Tommorow we are going to meet few more symbols of the city and it will be surprise...
See you soon:)

Easter time in Malopolska

Hello,
we spent the Easter time in Malopolska.

We prepared traditional Easter eggs and we striked up with chickens,
which after closer contact turned out to be only made in china decoration, unfortunately.
We also had contact with wild nature.

It was a cat named Tigra.

We went to Klimwka lake, which as all around was white, unfortunately and therefore not very photogenic.
We came back to Wroclaw, because spring should appear here faster.
